Clinician FAQs

Providers can apply for an account through our New Clinic & Hospital Application page. Once approved, you will receive login credentials for the Nexus portal, supply kits, and training materials from your dedicated account representative.
Standard urine drug tests are reported within 24–48 hours of specimen receipt. Molecular PCR tests are typically resulted within 2–4 hours. Chemistry and hematology panels are available same day for most specimens received before 2:00 PM local time.
Results are available through the Nexus provider portal in real time. We also support HL7 interface for direct EHR integration with Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athena, and most major platforms. Critical values are called directly to the ordering provider.
Yes. Optimus Labs is an enrolled Medicare and Medicaid provider. We also participate in most major commercial insurance networks. Our billing team handles all insurance claims and provides provider education on documentation requirements for medical necessity.
We provide specimen collection cups, oral fluid swab devices, blood draw supplies, requisition forms, biohazard bags, and prepaid courier labels at no charge to ordering providers. Supplies are delivered directly to your practice within 2–3 business days.

Yes. Optimus Labs holds full College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation and CLIA certification. Our laboratory undergoes biennial on-site inspections and participates in CAP's proficiency testing program for all test categories.
Our main processing laboratory is located in Phoenix, AZ. We have patient service centers and draw sites throughout the Phoenix metro area including Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and Tucson. Mobile collections are available throughout the region.
